Follow the journeys of four emerging artists as they forge their paths in the theatre industry.

Wendy Fisher

Wendy had a long career as a nurse and consultant. On her retirement, she found new opportunities to develop her skills as a writer and performer when she took part in The Old Vic’s Matinee Idols and Community Company projects.

Isaac O’Connor-Adekoya

Isaac comes from a theatrical family, but his first interactions with The Old Vic came about at school as part of our Schools’ Club programme. His interest in acting and writing inspired him to apply to study at the Brit School in Croydon, after which he also participated in our Theatre Makers programme. A graduate of several young artist training programmes at a variety of London’s most prestigious theatres, Isaac is looking forward to the next stage of his career in theatre.

Stephanie Stevens

After graduating with a Masters in Criminology, Stephanie was expecting to pursue a career in law. However, she knew that her heart lay in theatre and now devotes herself to pursuing her path as an actor, writer, singer and – after taking part in The Old Vic’s Frontline Facilitators programme — as a facilitator.

If you’d like to know more, listen to Stephanie’s extended interview.

Lamesha Ruddock

A recent graduate in History from the University of Durham, Lamesha has been passionate about technical theatre since school. Her engagement with The Old Vic began with a placement on our Backstage programme, which, along with hard work and commitment to professional development, has lead to a burgeoning career as an Assistant Stage Manager in London’s West End.
