Exploring theatre skills for everyday life.
Theatre Connects uses theatre skills to build confidence, connections and enhance wellbeing.
This pilot programme for people aged 18+ will take place over six weeks, offering an introduction to a theatre-based skill, led by an industry practitioner. The programme has been set up to support participants with their confidence, wellbeing and personal development. Participants can either self-refer, be referred by link workers, charities or community groups.
The pilot programme will focus on ‘Finding Your Voice’ and will be led by voice coach Nancy Wigglesworth. The six sessions will explore:
- Breathing exercises and posture
- Interpreting and delivering a monologue
- How to creatively express yourself using your voice as an instrument
- Using your voice to communicate effectively in everyday life.
No experience is necessary and the project is free to take part in.
If you are unsure if this programme is for you, we are offering two taster sessions, which will include the opportunity to meet the team and try a session before committing to apply. These will take place on:
