For those embarking on a professional career in theatre, the Old Vic New Voices Club offers actors, directors, producers and writers, aged 18-25, the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, receive support for projects they are passionate about, and to network with like-minded peers.
We now have over 200 members who have been recruited through The 24 Hour Plays: Old Vic New Voices. In the last year alone we have offered our members over 600 hours of free rehearsal space and over 200 hours of professional development sessions. Not to mention support through mentoring, special projects and regular contact with The Old Vic staff throughout the year.
A key part of the OVNV Club activity is the regular projects that we offer. Whether you want to be a part of The TS Eliot US/UK Exchange or learn more about The Old Vic's productions through our workshop programme, we have a range of activities to choose from.
Recent Club events have included talks by Hal Prince, Anthony Head, Tom Stoppard, Obi Abili, Anna Mackmin and Alan Ayckbourn, and workshop sessions on personal branding, building a freelance career, and taking a show to the Edinburgh Festival.
